Dear Colleagues
Registration is now open for the the ERA-AGE Conference 2015 which will present findings from Europe’s first joint programmes in ageing research on 10 November 2015 in London.
Since 2004, the European Research Area on Ageing has generated three joint calls which brought research funders from Europe and Canada together to support:
• Six research projects on Active and Healthy Ageing from the Joint Call for Research in Ageing programme (JCRA AHA).
• Two cohorts of post-doctoral FLARE Fellowships for early-career researchers.
These two initiatives represent Europe’s first joint research programmes in the ageing field and funded exclusively multi-national and multi-disciplinary research addressing the challenges of active and healthy ageing.
This conference will provide an opportunity for researchers who have benefited from these calls to share the results of their unique projects. During the morning the audience will hear from all the JCRA AHA projects and a number of the FLARE projects. As well as exploring the nature and outputs of their work the event will reflect on the added value from a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach. During the afternoon two parallel sessions will examine some of these issues in depth, included those relevant to early-career researchers.
A draft programme and poster are available at http://era-age.group.shef.ac.uk/the-era-age-conference-2015.html. If you are interested in attending please email [log in to unmask]
I hope we will see you in London in November.
Kind regards
Juliet
