Endowed Chair Faculty Position in Astronomy/Astrophysics

Qualified applicants in all areas of astronomy and astrophysics are
encouraged to apply. The appointment is expected to begin in August
2016, at the full, associate, or assistant professor level. Senior
applicants may be awarded tenure. The successful applicant will have a
Ph.D. in astronomy or physics or a related area, a demonstrated record
of accomplishment in research as evidenced by an ongoing externally
funded research program, and a publication record that provides
evidence of outstanding creativity and promise of future research
contributions. The successful applicant must be able to teach
effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The holder of
the Homer L. Dodge Chair is expected to play a leadership role in
fostering the development of research in the Astronomy & Astrophysics
Group, as well in the Department as a whole. For further information
