Hi Sarah,
Our venepuncture policy is to clean the skin and I wear gloves as a way of protecting myself.
Kind Regards
Sarah

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Venepuncture skin cleaning and gloves
I am looking at the moment at practice in this and would be very grateful if you could take two minutes to post if you :
A) clean or skin prior to venepuncture
B) use gloves
There are a lot of variations in practice. I don't want this to develop into a heated debate but would simply like to do a straw poll of practice.
Many thanks.
