Hi Everyone
Following my earlier message, and with apologies for those who have already applied or are in the process of applying, this is just to remind you that the closing date for receipt of applications for HEARAcademy 2015 is Friday 25th September.
Now in its third year, HEAR Academy provides a supported opportunity which colleagues can make use of regardless of their starting points. Previous cohorts have featured institutions at the 'getting started stage' through to those who had already implemented the initiative but wished to improve or extend their offering. As the recent national HEAR event at the University of Manchester acknowledged, the initial focus- on 'Can we implement the specification' has been extended into such areas as:
* How does HEAR implementation connect to Institutional strategies- and to which?
* How might the HEAR support student development formatively, catalysing/recognising (some aspects at least) of the wider achievements of students gained from the overall student experience?
* How might the HEAR support transition from the institution?...
* How might the HEAR be extended to new student groups, such as Postgraduate Researchers -the HEAR(R)?
So if issues from initial implementation to leading edge extension of practice are the focus of your interest, we hope you will consider participation. HEAR Academy will provide you with:
? tailored on-site and remote support for development at institutional level;
? structured opportunities for participants to support one another through peer-peer contact via two meetings and a mailbase. While attendance at the meetings is strongly encouraged, not least because it provides space for teams to meet and discuss their plans and approaches, the primary focus will be upon direct support/consultancy tailored to your needs.
Further details are therefore attached. HEAR Academy is run on a 'cost-recovery' basis, and offers significant savings for CRA member institutions. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your institution is already a CRA member.
All good wishes
Rob
