Dear Colleagues,
The Centre for Women, Ageing & Media is delighted to announce another WAM event. Margaret Cruikshank will be presenting a Public Lecture entitled “Hillary Clinton and the Media in the U.S. Presidential Campaign”.
This presentation explores the limits of mainstream media as evaluators of presidential candidates and also the extent to which sexist, ageist, and racist attitudes persist in the United States of America.
Margaret Cruikshank is Assistant Professor in Women's Studies at the University of Southern Maine, and author of Learning to be Old: Gender, Culture & Aging (Rowman & Littlefeld, 2009) and Fierce with Reality: An Anthology of Literature on Aging (North Star Press, 1995).
This event will take place on Monday 5 October at 5:30pm, followed by a reception. For further details and to book your free place: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wam-public-lecture-margaret-cruikshank-hillary-clinton-and-the-media-in-the-us-presidential-campaign-tickets-18717788409
