Hi all,
We’ve been working on rewriting some of the Tate Kids games (originally written in Flash) to HTML5 and Canvas and the result's been pretty good so far!
The code will be released as open-source in the coming month, we'll let everyone know about it!

Cheers Doug, that'd be interesting.
In my head there's a difference between whole sites using Flash and individual games / interactives - but maybe this is a false distinction..

We're in the process of migrating this over to HTML5, and whilst we had a few issues with video playback and general layout, we do now have a version that mostly replicates the original and seems to work fine on all mobile devices too - though I am reserving judgement until it goes live. When it does, I can post links to both the Flash and HTML5 versions so people can compare.
