We are happy to announce that a new paper has been recently published in PLoS ONE:

This paper reviews the main advantages offered by multi-objective optimisation (MOO) to evolutionary robotics (ER), discusses the different modes of problem solving available through MOO and analyses the current state of the art. Hence, it can be considered an interesting introduction/tutorial to people approaching ER and looking for advanced optimisation techniques.
More than that, the paper provides the first experimental demonstration in ER of the advantages introduced by MOO over single-objective approaches. Three well conceived case study analyse the different problems usually experienced in ER and exemplify how MOO can solve/alleviate them. We think that these case studies could be taken as benchmarks for future studies in evolutionary robotics.
Any comment is more than welcome!
