Dear Cycling & Society colleagues!
Bicycle parking supply is mostly approached from two perspectives. The
qualitative perspective answers questions regarding usability of bike
parking facilities and from the quantitative perspective guidelines on
what kinds of buildings to equip with how many parking stands dominate
the literature.
In contrast to that Paul Pfaffenbichler and me tried to find an answer
to the pressing question: "If a city council aims at increasing
cycling's modal share, how much parking does it actually need to provide
to enable such an increase?".
