Dear Group,
Readers may be interested to learn that South Australia is proposing that from 1 July 2016, all site contamination reports submitted to the regulator will be required to be prepared, or reviewed and approved by a certified site contamination practitioner.
The national SCPA scheme requires certified practitioners to demonstrate ad maintain high levels of competence and experience in five areas of contaminated sites work and on-going adherence to a professional code of conduct. http://www.epa.sa.gov.au/files/11055_sc_certified_professionals.pdf
Unlike the CLA:ire SQP (under development) the proposed use of a SCPA is mandatory.
Best wishes to all,
David
