Subject: Crowdfunding for a PhD in Sociology
Please find the text below and my campaign flyer which is attached.
Warmest best wishes,
Miranda
Hi there,
I'm Miranda Armstrong, a postgraduate student and single mum who has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign #singlemumdoesphd in order to raise funds to enable me to do a PhD in Sociology from September.
Having been funded for my past four years in higher education, including being awarded a full scholarship to do my master's at the LSE, I did not manage to secure studentship funding. I am determined to do begin my PhD this September and to eventually aim for an academic career in order add my voice to the conversation through research, writing and teaching on issues that affect 'disadvantaged' families and communities. My crowdfunding link is http://spsr.me/1I4Yl4Y Please support me to achieve this by donating if you can and circulating this information widely. Thank you!
