My client, based in Central London is currently seeking a GIS Business Development Manager to work in their Consultancy division to sell consultancy and services into UK Government clients.
The role can be home based with travel to client site and occasional travel to the London office. The role offers a fantastic package; Salary £40-£70k depending on experience, commission, bonus scheme + benefits.
My client is quite specific in the person they are looking for and are happy to wait for the right candidate. You will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the UK and have a good solid contact list and pipeline of Government clients.
The role is to sell consultancy and services not products or software etc. So previous experience of consultancy sales to UK government is essential.
You will need to have fantastic customer facing, presentation, organisation and communication skills. You will be expected to engage with clients at all levels from boardroom to user. Proven experience of building a pipeline of clients is also essential.
A technical understanding of GIS and specifically ESRI products is also required.
