Hello,
I am listening in and enjoying reading the discussion threads.
My name is Edna Stirrat and I am a collections officer in the Scottish Parliament Library and Information Centre, which is known as SPICe, so yes I'm officially a SPICe girl :-)
As a parliamentary librarian I provide official information to Members of Parliament, their staff and staff who are employed directly by the Parliament to support the work of Parliament. This involves dealing with cataloguing emergencies, laid papers and Ministerial statements. I ensure our customers get the information they need in time and in the format they require it in by liaising with colleagues across the Parliament. I regularly give talks to visitors from academia and other legislatures on my role in the Parliament and the work of SPICe. I also assist my manager with the development and management of the Information Centre collection.

A quick reminder that anyone who is just 'listening in' to discussions is more than welcome to introduce themselves on this thread. We would love to know who is out there!
