Greg, as I'm sure you know, not ALL Brits are squeamish about cleaning,
cooking, and eating small game. My good buddy the groundskeeper at
Vindolanda, a Jordie by many generations in the back country of
Northumberland, is a pretty fair shot, and it's one of his many jobs to
remove the invasive gray squirrels. One morning when he had several to
spare, he brought me a big fat one, very pleased at the thought of adding
to my limited diet. I thanked him and I did prep it and cook it, but to
make a specimen out of it....my friend's reaction was "Americans are nuts
-- how wasteful!" A country boy will always survive! Cheers -- Deb Bennett
