Dear Colleagues,
Cranfield’s Centre for Air Transport Management is pleased to be hosting the 4th European Aviation Conference between 18-20th November.
http://www.cranfield.ac.uk/about/EAC2015
The theme for the conference is airline liberalisation.
For decades the drive within the industry has largely been moving towards free markets, but in the current climate, some stakeholders seem to be pushing back against the view that free markets are best. For whom are free markets best? How might future markets look like? Who stands to win and lose? The conference will have the following sessions*:
· Senior level Debate
· Economics and Politics of Liberalisation: Past and Present
· Level Playing Fields - The Core Issues
· Do subsidies generate economic efficiency and can they be considered fair?
· Liberalisation, Competition Policy and Ownership of Airlines
· What is the Future of Liberalisation?
* subject to final confirmation of speakers

• Mike Tretheway (InterVISTAS)
