Dear all
A few people have added comments (thanks!) on the draft "User Specification" but we need more feedback. It is at <http://1drv.ms/1eTOOjF>. Please check <http://www.ccppetmr.ac.uk/softwareframework.html> for some more info.
In particular, we think it'd be great if people would tell this list what they would want to use this software for, i.e. a concrete example of what you would be able to achieve that you cannot do now (or is just too much of a struggle). The more examples the better! It can be very generic, or very specific, as you prefer.
Of course, you are all invited to our Software Framework Meeting to discuss this document on the 7th of September in Manchester 13:30 - 17:30. WebEx access will be provided (with better sound quality hopefully!). More detail, including a way to register, will follow soon.

Subject: CCP PET-MR updates: request for input on software specification, next software meeting on 7 Sep, etc
Dear all
A few updates from our CCP.
You have now been subscribed to our users (ccp-petmr-users) and/or announcement (ccp-petmr) mailing lists. You can always unsubscribe of course, although we hope that you don't! Feel free to suggest to others to subscribe (instructions on <http://www.ccppetmr.ac.uk/> ). The ccp-petmr list will be low volume and can only be sent to be a few people. ccp-petmr-users and ccp-petmr-devel are open to anyone.
We had a good meeting on the 7th of July where we started the discussion on our software framework. Presentations (and a low quality recording of the 2nd half) are now on the website. We have a draft "User Specification". We need your input to improve and comment on this short document. Please check <http://www.ccppetmr.ac.uk/softwareframework.html> .
We hope this discussion will be an active process for 1 month. The final discussion will be at our next Software Framework Meeting.
This Software Framework Meeting will be on the 7th of September in Manchester 13:30 - 17:30 (lunch will be provided). Full details will be on the website later, and also announced via these mailing lists.
For those of you considering to go to the IEEE Medical Imaging Conference, our CCP is sponsoring a Satellite Workshop on Open Source Software in Medical Imaging, see <http://stir.sourceforge.net/MIC2015SatelliteWorkshop/main.htm>.
Please remember that you can claim back your T&L expenses for CCP meetings if you kept your receipts. Send me an email to get instructions.
Enjoy the summer!
