Dear Colleagues
Scientists communicate to non-peer audiences through numerous pathways, including websites, blogs, public lectures, media interviews, and educational collaborations. A considerable amount of time and money is invested in this public engagement, and these efforts are to a large extent responsible for the public perception of science. This special issue encourages critical reflection on science communication practices and provides an opportunity for science communicators to share best practices and experiences with evaluation and research in this field.
The objective of this special issue is to bring together contributions from a broad range of disciplines across both hydrology and natural hazards in relation to best practices in effective science communication and education. Contributions are solicited that address these issues and that have a clear objective and research methodology. Case studies and other experiences are also welcome as long as they are rigorously presented and evaluated.
If you are interested in contributing to this paper, please submit your manuscript here (if it has a hydrology theme):

Or here (if it has a natural hazards flavour)

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
