Dear all
[apologies for cross posting]
once a librarian, forever a librarian? I am interested in mapping indexing / search utilities existing and / or publicly accessible to analyse audiovisual contents virtually in any disciplinary domain dealing with a wide range of topics.
I need to assess copyright issues and policy implications for which a simple chronological series of factual data extracted from published / broadcasted information around those topics would help, listed by words used and / or curated subjects.
For such dataset to be created I need to analyse and categorise the contents of a number of identified sources that I am sure have been indexed and extracted through search engines and private knowledge management systems - including powerful audiovisual search and intelligence systems - but unfortunately there is no index published or searchable in the public domain and no product sold and accessible via public libraries neither.
This is particularly true for audiovisual contents and for statistical series that publishers and authors have released online, at least partially, but for which there is no search or indexing utility available in the public domain.
For instance, is anybody aware and / or willing to provide a chronological list of words used and / or subjects covered by the daily column "Thought for the Day" within BBC Radio4 Today programme - there is plenty of documentation, podcasts and audio-clips but no public index at this url on the BBC website:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00szxv6/clips
Please reply privately and I will collate and share the answers for the list.
Thank you for your cooperation
