Faculty Librarian - Research Support and Sciences
This role provides a unique opportunity to become a research support leader combined with designing and delivering library liaison services for our Science Faculty at a time of great change and exciting possibilities. There are transformational changes happening in the research landscape with developments in open access, research data management, use of social media in research and new challenges in research metrics. The post holder will be accountable for the effective development of the research support service offered by the department and will work collaboratively with other departments, including Research Services, the Graduate School and Kent Innovation and Enterprise to ensure services are aligned to institutional goals. As a Faculty Librarian you will ensure the delivery of high quality academic liaison services to the Faculty of Sciences. You will work closely with other Faculty Librarians, Head of Academic Liaison and the wider Library Collections teams to contribute to the strategic development of Academic Liaison Services in response to the rapidly changing information and academic landscape. This is a challenging and exciting role with significant leadership elements.

Research Support Librarian
This is an exciting new role within IS, supporting the Faculty Librarian - Research Support and Sciences to deliver excellent and well co-ordinated research support services. We're seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a creative mind set. There are transformational changes happening in the research landscape and in this role you will have the opportunity to translate emerging research support needs into effective and sustainable operational responses. In addition you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver liaison services across a number of schools as part of a talented and innovative academic liaison team.
