Job Title: GIS Business Development Manager
Location: Home based with travel to client sites and London office when required
Salary: £Base is very negotiable dependent on experience + uncapped commission structure & annual bonus
Kinect recruitments client are looking to recruit a GIS Business Development Manager with 5 years+ UK based commercial sales or account management experience to work in their consultancy business development unit.
Successful candidate will develop and manage existing government clients and prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, working with partners and attending industry related events/conferences and build a sustainable pipeline of consulting opportunities.
Candidates will possess the following skills & experience:
Strong track record in customer-facing roles is critical.
Experience of the sales process and negotiation techniques is essential
Experience of working with GIS software
Engagement at all levels from board and C-level, through to end user
You will be accountable for driving channel partner success through the use of GIS, by becoming a trusted GIS advisor to the organisation, enabling identification and closure of new 'sell to’ partner opportunities; and 'sell through’ partner opportunities.
Duties will include:
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging network and partners.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s technical teams.
Plan approaches and pitches.
Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to solves client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing.
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
