Research Laboratory Specialist Inter position at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Responsibilities*
Linux system administrator for data storage, processing, and wiki servers. Provide server hardware and operating system support. Manage the backup and recovery of fMRI data and provide infrastructure services for imaging analysis workstations. Develop, implement, and document modular and reusable processing pipelines for fMRI/PET data in SPM, FSL, and AFNI software packages. Create reusable and custom data analysis scripts with MATLAB. Design, code, and implement fMRI paradigms in E-Prime and Psychtoolbox. Review and write or edit manuscripts prior to submission to scientific journals. Evaluate existing software and analysis methods for neuroimaging data.
Required Qualifications*
Proficient in MATLAB and Unix/Linux. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem solving skills.
Desired Qualifications*
Master’s Degree or equivalent. Familiar with the neuroimaging data arching tool XNAT. Experience with additional imaging techniques (e.g., functional connectively, VBM, DTI, H-MRS) and software platforms (e.g., MedX). Additional programming (i.e., C, C++, C#, Bash, JAVA, Python, .NET) and electrical systems experience. Prior experience in pain research. Advanced statistical training. Working knowledge of Vee Pro and E-Prime software.
