Dear all,
Jean-Claude is regrettably not able to give the talk due to important commitments that overlap with the dates of the conference. I’ll ask Andy to see if he is willing to do it.
I’ll keep you posted on how this progresses. In any case, it is good to have Jose as an option as well, this seems to be an important meeting, so CALICE should be covered there.
Cheers,
Frank

Considering the strong focus of the US community on LHC (CMS in particular) and 100 TeV, I think Jean-Claude, with his connection to the HGCAL upgrade would be a very good option. I propose to ask him first. If he is not available we should try Andy and Jose. Andy is also one of the main organisers of the workshop, so I am not sure how willing he is to give a talk.

The talk will be about 23 + 7 minutes, and according to Burak it should be a more senior speaker able to participate in strategic discussions about the possibilities and challenges of PFA calorimetry.

Given the location, a speaker from the US might be most efficient, but there is no preference from the organizers for US or non-US speakers.

The emphasis of the meeting will be on proposing new ideas for detection technologies, articulating grand challenges for the field and identifying instrumentation opportunities as an enabler of our science thereby enhancing the HEP program. The contributions are expected to address challenges that span the next few decades in the field and present a discussion of possible solution paths.

We would be pleased if the CALICE Collaboration can recommend a speaker. We will kindly ask the speaker to submit a short abstract to us and register through http://www.uta.edu/physics/cpad2015/ . The details about the meeting can also be found at the same web address.
