Hi again Lee
'BS 8493:2008+A1:2010 Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of a surface - Method of Test' gives examples of how to measure LRV of textured surfaces.

Hi Lee
I assume that they are wanting the difference between the LRV of your resin and the adjacent surface to which it has been applied. Depending on the roughness of the surface you could use a hand held LRV measuring device such as the Cromocon meter http://www.cromocon.com/Cromocon/Cromocon_-_Home.html
This device is not going to work on really rough surfaces because it relies on sealing itself against the surface whilst it takes the measurement of LRV 3times and then averages them out. Also it does not work accurately on surfaces with shiny materials in them, such as carborundum flecks or on stainless steel surfaces.

Marcus

Subject: [ACCESSIBUILT] LRV
Hi Everyone,
We have been asked to find the colour contrast between our anti-slip resin and the surface we are applying it to. We of course have LRV's (Light Reflectance Values) for our resins but unsure how to get the LRV of the surface, so we can work out the point difference.
Can any one help with this?
Thank you
