Dear all,
The long-heralded update to the CLEA software (v 1.07) was finally published on the .gov.uk website today.
The web page is a bit messy - it purports to provide a link to v1.06 but the .XLS spreadsheet downloaded says it is v1.07. I have reported this 'feature' to the webmasters of .gov.uk
Details of what has changed between v1.06 and v1.07 are hard to find; only by clicking on the 'full page history' could I see the following advisory:
"24 August 2015 3:59pm CLEA Software update. Version 1.07 incorporates the approach and library data sets to support the outcome of the Defra Category 4 Screening Levels research project and is now Open Government Licence. "
This seems at odds with the statement on the main page that " The handbook referring to version 1.05 is still valid as the functionality has not changed." I have also reported this to the .gov.uk webmasters.
Anyway, I am sure all will become CLEArer in due course,
Happy risk assessing!
Paul
