The 1801 (March 1801) census is a good place to start. Whilst lacking the details of later surveys the names of the people and some other basic details are there. But this applies only to residents and not to those who strolled down that street or came in, to work there.

Subject: Techie help needed on London in 1801
Dear Esteemed Colleagues,
I have been doing some prelim research trying to understand what the atmosphere would have been like on a street in London in 1801
Its Middle Row in Holborn.
From what I have gathered so far it was part of a series of small streets that constituted a trading district?
Bizarrely its quite difficult to get a sense of what kinds of people, sounds, activities might have taken place at least in this part of London - close to Covent Garden I suppose?
Your help with this or guidance about publications that can help, would be greatly appreciated.
All the Best,
Temi
