Dear all,
I want to mention a new and important book about Voloshin, by Marianna Landa:

Voloshin was a Russian, Ukrainian and Crimean modernist poet. Landa focusses on what are probably his finest poems, those he wrote in Crimea around the time of Revolution and Civil War. Much of the book is about Voloshin’s importance in contemporary Russia and Ukraine and the surprising degree to which opposing ideologies are now laying claim to his legacy.
I draw on Landa’s thinking in an introductory article that was published a while ago on the site of English PEN:

All the best,
Robert
