An exciting opportunity exists within the Councils Corporate Information and Knowledge Management Team. As the Assistant Information Management Officer you will primarily provide services to Schools around Information Management.
This will consist of providing training and awareness around the Data Protection (DP) and Freedom of Information (FOI) Acts and other appropriate legislation; developing policies and procedures to support that school in the areas of DP/FOI, as well as other areas of Information Management.
You will also support the Information and Knowledge Management team with general requests received by the team from other service areas across the Council, as well as the general public. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts, as well as excellent communication and training skills.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service form in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and the Police Act Regulations.
