Hi all,
I have had a heads up that I might be asked how long it would take a qualified cataloguing librarian (at grade 6 or 7) to catalogue a collection of 20,000 books at our usual standards (AACR2/RDA, in marc etc).
It is largely straightforward collection but with some perhaps obscure foreign language items and some rare books (the latter I think will largely have records available).
I’ve never done this and wondered if there are any established practices or, if not, good practices that some fellow Welsh cataloguers may have followed?
Any suggestions very welcome!
Best wishes
Amy
