Spacious, modern one-bedroom flat in central Berlin available to let from September/October 2015
One-bedroom flat, recently refurbished, on top (8th) floor of building with a large southwest-facing balcony and view of the Fernsehturm. Excellent access to public transport, but in a peaceful location.
Rent, including all extras (heat, water, electricity, high speed wifi) is EUR 950/month. Available from 1 October 2015 (possibly as early as mid-September) until at least the end of January 2016; ideally to be let for the entire period of October-January, but shorter periods of a minimum of 6 weeks may also be possible. A deposit of one month’s rent applies.
The 55m2-flat is fully furnished, with
- a fully outfitted kitchen with new appliances (including a washing machine-dryer combo and dishwasher), small appliances (electric
kettle, coffee maker, toaster)
- a large living room/dining room with full sized dining table, desk with printer, sofabed, armchair TV, stereo etc.
- bright, new bathroom with tub and rainfall shower head
- large bedroom with a king-size bed and large wardrobes
- spacious hallway with bookcases and additional storage
Everything else one could need – bedding, towels, all cutlery and crockery – is there.
Great location in every regard, particularly for colleagues on sabbatical leave or conducting research:
- 200 metres from tram and bus stops served by four different tram lines (M4, 5, 6, and 8) and two bus routes (142, connecting the
Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof, and 200, which passes the Humboldt Uni and both ‘Stabi’ locations at Unter den Linden and Potsdamer
Straße)
- 700 metres from Alexanderplatz, with multiple U-Bahn, S-Bahn and regional trains
- 350 metres from Volkspark Friedrichshain
- three different supermarkets (Kaisers, Aldi and Netto) within 300 metres, the nearest of which (Kaisers) is less than 100 metres away;
a Lidl and Edeka are also within easy walking distance
- literally just steps from Berlin Bilingual School (though the flat is best suited to a single person or couple, it could work comfortably for
parents with one young child)
