The American Name Society (ANS), the oldest scholarly society for the study of names and naming (onomastics), is pleased to announce that the call for papers for the 2016 annual conference in Washington, D.C., has been extended to July 31st, 2015. This conference is being held in conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America. Abstracts in any area of research dealing with names, naming, and forestry are especially welcome.
