Assistant Professor of Early Modern Chinese Literature
The Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado at Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Early Modern Chinese literature to begin August 2016. Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Yuan-Ming-Qing vernacular literature, cultural history, Song through Qing poetry. Candidates should have the PhD in hand prior to the start of the appointment. The successful candidate will have well-focused research objectives and contribute to the department’s Chinese curriculum by developing and teaching undergraduate lecture courses as well as graduate seminars.

Senior Instructor in Chinese Language
The Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado at Boulder invites applications for a non-tenure-track appointment as Senior Instructor in Chinese language, to begin August 2016. Requirements include the Ph.D. in Chinese language, linguistics, pedagogy, or another related discipline; experience teaching Chinese at the university level; and evidence of successful administrative experience in managing/coordinating a Chinese language program. Experience supervising teaching assistants is preferred.
