I can't help you there. However, in terms of the senior medical staffing
issue currently being discussed, I'm not sure there is necessarily much of
an economic issue, at least in the short/medium-term. Given the minimum of
15-20 years that it takes to train new Consultants 'from scratch', there's
no way that anyone can magic up a lot more of them overnight - so the only
real option, at least in the short/medium term, would be to spread the
existing resources more thinly over the 7 days of a week - which may, or
may not, have a beneficial effect!
