Hi Vin
I would agree with Jan that since the role will differ from institution to institution it needs to be developed to suit the purpose intended. If engaging an Access Advisor to help write it then it needs to be someone familiar with Higher Education.
Kind regards
Marcus

Subject: Re: [ACCESSIBUILT] Job Description for in-house Inclusive Access / Design Consultant / Advisor
Hi Vin
I find this sort of thing happens quite a lot (people using other job specs and adapting them for their situation), but each case is slightly different.
I would advise the University to pay an Access Advisor to write the job spec with them and to be involved in the selection process too. I think it would be money well spent and they would be working with a person who really understands the issues.
Best wishes
Jan
