A commitment to high quality research and teaching fused with an inclusive academic culture is our hallmark and led the Times Higher to describe us as “elite without being elitist”. The Department of Geography is seeking to appoint 2 future research leaders in Human Geography who will contribute to the Department’s research expertise. You will be able to evidence the foundations of a strong track record in high quality research; outputs in top cited, international peer-reviewed journals and grant funding success. With the appointment in September 2014 of Professor Paul Boyle as President and Vice-Chancellor, the Institution is driving change forward in the development of a new Institutional Strategy, Vision and Implementation Plan.
