We are running a one-day workshop on Data Protection Audit and Remediation on 7 September at Woodside Conference Centre in Kenilworth.
Full details can be viewed here: http://www.i-b-e.co.uk/events/51/data-protection-audit-and-remediation.html
Understanding what personal data is being processed, and how closely that processing meets regulatory demands, is essential for managing personal data in a compliant and proportionate manner. This workshop explains how to scope and execute a data protection audit, identify processing risks and put in place appropriate remediation. As well as covering planning and auditing techniques it looks at actual questionnaires and assessment tools. A key feature of the day will be to examine how the results of an audit can be translated into workable recommendations for change.
Facilitated by Guy Johnson from Metataxis, workshop content is as follows:
Session 1: Design
- Purpose, scope and outcomes
- Structure of the investigation
- Common challenges
Session 2: Execution
- Managing the audit
- Securing the cooperation of the business
- Audit tools and methods
- Measuring and prioritising compliance gaps
- Reporting for effect
Session 3: Remediation
