The Church of England Record Centre invites applications for the following vacancy:
Cataloguer
£24,309 probation rising to £25,880 p.a. after probation
Bermondsey SE16
Fixed-term: 13 months
The Church of England Record Centre holds the archives of a variety of central Church of England bodies documenting the evolving organisation and activities of the Church since 1704.
You will be responsible for cataloguing and making available for public use selected collections from archives of National Church Institutions.
A good level of education including an honours degree or equivalent is required along with experience of archive cataloguing and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. With good interpersonal skills you will be able to deal with people politely and professionally and work to the required level of standards of the Record Centre.
A knowledge of and interest in modern history would be welcome.
