Marketing and Communications Officer, Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridge
Salary range: £30574 to £38564 plus excellent benefits.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to work within the Courses, Conferences and Public Engagement (CCPE) programme, to develop and deliver effective marketing and communications strategies. You will be responsible for delivering the marketing and communication activities of the three CCPE teams across print, online, email and social media platforms, as well as developing new and innovative strategies. You will be a completer/finisher, with the ability to produce marketing materials by generating accurate copy and artwork based on brand guidelines, liaising with designers and suppliers as required to ensure that relevant deadlines and milestones are achieved. An excellent communicator with a strong attention to detail, you will have a keen interest in optimising the impact of marketing strategies and activities, as well as monitoring results and data to ensure maximum return on investment. You must also enjoy liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations and be able to successfully promote CCPE programmes at external events and conferences as required.
The Wellcome Genome Campus is a 100-acre estate south of Cambridge in the grounds of Hinxton Hall. Nestled in the quiet countryside of these landscaped gardens, are two world-class research facilities: the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI). This growing and dynamic site is the British hub of genomic science, and will soon host Genomics England Limited’s 100,000 Genomes Sequencing Centre and a Biodata Innovation Centre. The campus is also home to the new Courses, Conferences and Public Engagement programme (CCPE). This programme brings together the Advanced Courses and Scientific Conferences team, Conference Centre team, and Public Engagement team. These teams undertake a range of distinct activities with varying audiences, but with the overall goal of delivering excellence in genomics training and engagement.
