"Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate/Fellow
for the Health Foundation funded WayWard Project. The WayWard project
brings together an interdisciplinary team with expertise from a wide
variety of backgrounds including computer science, geospatial science,
engineering, and the clinical sciences. The project will investigate
the use of ‘locative and tasking’ informatics to learn more about
clinical behaviour in out-of-hours secondary care settings, in order
to drive improvements in safety, efficiency and effectiveness. The
person appointed will undertake innovative, original research in the
field, and take on other related duties, such as contributing to
publications, under the direction of Professor Sarah Sharples,
Professor Derek McAuley, Professor Tom Rodden and colleagues working
on the within Horizon.
The post requires the ability to work independently and as part of a
team, and good communication skills are essential. Candidates should
have a PhD (or be demonstrably close to completing and submitting) or
equivalent in Computer Science, data science or related area. The
ability to analyses complex data sets using Matlab or similar is
essential and experience of analysing human behaviour data is
desirable. "
