The Communication and Media degree at Bournemouth University requires part time hourly staff to teach research methods and PR for academic year 2015/16:
Critical thinking and social research methods are central to our curriculum. We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile researcher to take on a core 2nd year module on Media and Marketing Research. The aim of the module is to familiarise students with the principles of research and with the full range of both quantitative and qualitative methods. The successful candidate should have a passion for research and for helping our students develop their own research design skills. Our emphasis is on innovation, so we welcome applications from colleagues with an interest in emerging areas such as visual and participatory ethnography, big data / data visualisation and social media research.
Our third year option on Public Relations combined theory with practice and we need an enthusiastic lecturer to teach the theoretical aspects of this unit. If you bring the combination of professional experience and an understanding of theory -- then you would be equipped to take on all of the teaching for our lively and engaged third year Communication and Media students.
