Hi
Does anyone know of any work that has been done that looks at goodness /
completeness / accuracy of data that has been keyed into a system and
compared this to the interface that was used when entering this data?
As I look at this (no names) rather terrible bit of museum-focused
software it strikes me quite strongly that had it had auto-complete
fields / dropdowns / checkboxes in a nice, slick, user-friendly layout
rather than free text / textarea fields in a really rather clunky
interface then the data would have been very much easier to put in and
subsequently of much better quality..
Any research, either museumy or not that anyone can point me to?
Mike
