Problem solved by someone locally. I just needed to change permissions for the fsl directory. This can be done (using the admin account) with the command:
sudo chmod -R a+rx $FSLDIR
where FSLDIR is the path to your FSL directory.
Sorry for bothering everyone!

I can install via Terminal in the admin account, but then non-admin accounts (like our main lab account) cannot seem to use it - I tried moving it into /Applications, which everyone should have access to, and it shows up in the Applications folder for the non-admin accounts, but just cannot be used. And I can’t seem to install it at all using the non-admin account.
