The Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies has recently published a booklet of essays by children and young people entitled ‘The Brightest Hope: Essays from Around the World on the Importance of Education in Times of Crisis’. The pieces were selected from submissions to INEE’s essay contest held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its Minimum Standards. The booklet features 12 essays by authors from countries including Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Jordan.
