Dear Colleagues
I am a theatre artist, activist, and PhD student at Northwestern University in the Interdisciplinary PhD program in Theatre and Drama. I have a background in development studies, theatre, and theatre for social justice. Specifically, I am interested in theatrical engagements with crisis, refugee narratives, and the relationships between refugee populations and NGOs.
For my dissertation project, I am hoping to gain access to an NGO working with a refugee population that utilizes theatre/performance in some capacity. Ideally, I would like to engage in ethnographic collaborative research with both the refugee population and the NGO, and would ultimately like to collaborate on an artistic project which would have a theatrical life transnationally. Most importantly, I would hope to be utilized in any capacity the refugee population and/or the NGO would find beneficial.
I would be immensely grateful for any contacts, inquiries, concerns, and possibilities this knowledgeable community has to offer.
Best Regards,
Elizabeth Stromsness
