Hmm, Brian seems to think it is not possible, although it seems like a
perfectly useful and reasonable feature.

I can check with our local FTS expert, but he is on leave this week and
is in fact not back till Tuesday (30th) next week.

@Brian - we also need to follow up on the proxy stuff.
