PostDoc Marine and Coastal Geography / Social Sciences
As part of the Center of Excellence “MARUM – the Ocean in the Earth
System” the Bremen International Graduate School for Marine Sciences –
GLOMAR – aims at training young scientists in the field of marine
sciences. These encompass the natural sciences as well as social
sciences. Besides becoming experts in their special field the PhD
students will get a solid background across a range of disciplines in
marine sciences.
The Graduate School offers for its research area „Ocean & Society“ the
following position - under the condition of job release:
Associate Scientist (TV-L 13)
This position is offered for two years starting at October 1, 2015.
Applicants are required to have a PhD relevant to the research field and
a research plan related to to marine and/or coastal issues in one of the
following fields:
Social Sciences, Law, Human Geography, Political Sciences
The main tasks of the Associate Scientist will be to stimulate
interdisciplinary exchange within the Graduate School, to organize
topical courses and monthly PhD workshops, and to support the PhD
students. In addition, the Associate Scientist is expected to develop
her/his own research project within the thematic framework of the
school. Our webpage gives information about research topics presently
covered by the school's scientists.
