Many thanks Rebecca,
I had come across Respondus but was also wondering if there may be some sort of free solution :-) Thanks for the detail though on your use of Respondus and its drawbacks, that's really helpful, and yes I was thinking of downloading individual student attempts too.
Cheers
Jacqui

Subject: Re: Exporting Blackboard tests
Hi Jacqui
We use Respondus software to export Blackboard tests into Word. This generally works fine, but there are formatting issues/bugs with certain question types/structures, and it doesn't work with all question types (I can provide more detail if anyone needs it; notably Respondus doesn't support hot spot and file upload questions). I'm not aware of any way of doing this directly from Blackboard, would be interested to hear if anyone else has come up with other solutions.
In terms of downloading results, do you mean downloading an individual student's attempt? This is something we'd also like to be able to do (some of our schools want to be able to send samples to external examiners as a .pdf), apparently it was possible in previous versions of Bb but not in 9.1. Again if anyone else has a solution to this we'd be interested as well.
Best wishes
Rebecca
