Hi Kathryn
We at Southampton use our own in-house software called Exam Start - which disables some word and excel functionality and access to browsers, e-mails etc. - but we always run exams on University hardware, not on student's own unless they have very specific recommendations. We're generally OK for space as we have a 'PC room' for such requirements. Happy to have a chat but the guys you really need to speak to are our Managed Learning Environment team - let me know if you want me to ask them to contact you.
Regards
Jackie

Subject: Exam4 Software
Hello,
Does anyone use Exam4 software, which allows students to use their own laptop under exam conditions? Or, does anyone use or know of similar software? If so, could you contact me? I'd like to discuss your experiences with software of this nature, and perhaps arrange a visit. The number of Personalised Exam Provision (PEP) students we have using our university PCs for exam purposes is reaching unmanageable levels, and we need to come up with a solution. I'd be interested to hear how others manage.
Thanks,
Kathryn
