About the role:
The Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences is home to first class teaching and research across a wide range of both traditional and contemporary disciplines. All of our courses are committed to the mutual reinforcement of theory and practice, and are grounded in our academics’ innovative and internationally recognised research. Building on sustained growth in student numbers, and expanding into new curriculum areas, the Faculty now seeks to appoint a number of outstanding academics to join our team.
The Cambridge School of Art, based in the Ruskin Building on the Cambridge campus, has grown rapidly over the last five years. We are now seeking to appoint research active, critically-informed practitioners to complement our talented and experienced academic team.
You will teach on the BA (Hons) and MA Photography courses, with an emphasis on both practical and conceptual aspects of photographic practice, and including knowledge of current photographic dissemination processes.
With a higher degree and preferably a PhD or Professional Doctorate you will have successful teaching experience at HE level. You will have substantial established photographic practise experience and experience of undertaking research. With a professional / research profile commensurate with the stage of your career, you will also make a substantial contribution to the thriving research profile of the School.
Interviews are expected to take place in the week commencing 13th July.
