CfP Children in War
The European Studies Conference
Omaha, Nebraska

CALL FOR PAPERS
This fall the European Studies Conference at the University of Nebraska, Omaha will sponsor a conference within a conference on the theme of "Children in War."
Building on the long-standing Children in War network initiated at the University of Reading in the UK, this interdisciplinary conference will focus on the experiences of children and young people in the context of war and conflict in Europe and beyond from any time period.
Topics may include children in World War II, children in the Cold War, children in anti-colonial conflicts, child soldiers, child refugees, evacuated school children, incarcerated children, war orphans, service children, and children in post-war society.
Contributions from the humanities, social sciences, and literary and creative arts are welcome.
Interested contributors are invited to email a 125 word abstract to A/Prof Erwin Erhardt ([log in to unmask]) by 1 July 2015.
