The post-holder will co-ordinate a new research project investigating body fatness in UK children from different ethnic groups and exploring optimal approaches to diagnosis of overweight-obesity.
This British Heart Foundation funded project will combine analyses of large-scale population studies and small-scale calibration studies to improve understanding of childhood body fatness.
The position will suit an individual with strong statistical and organizational skills, capable of independent decision-making.
The post-holder will have extensive research experience in medical statistics, epidemiology or a closely related discipline and be skilled in the analysis of large datasets.
A postgraduate qualification in medical statistics/epidemiology or a closely related area is essential and a doctorate desirable.
