Hi everyone
I hope you're well.
I'm the Tech Team Leader for MediaCity here at the University of Salford and would like to pop and see some of you over the Summer to try and share and learn some best practice! Would anyone be willing to have me spend an afternoon with them - ideally around TV, Radio, Journalism and Equipment Store areas?
Many thanks
Neil

Hi Tom,
Yes, I know HEaTED are keen to develop beyond the STEM side. We as an institution join a few years back but found little use however there does seem to be changes. Which is typical as we currently don't subscribe.
Thanks,
Nathan

Thanks, this all sounds positive.
The training wasn't of much interest admittedly (I mean we already train others to do this stuff so it seems a little redundant).
The networking however does sound really good, it is very rare that I meet anyone who does the same job that I do so making wider connections is of importance to me.
Did I see a message saying that there was an interest in boosting the arts side of things (it does seem a bit STEM focused at the moment) as that would be interesting being a design technical demonstrator 'n'all.
Thanks again, Tom
